Re: 90s band: Pavement

For some reason I never listen to the one between Wowee Zowee and Terror Twilight.

I don’t know why I chose Sebadoh over Pavement in the other thread, I like them but that is not accurate. I like the witchy stuff and scattered tracks and albums, but they aren’t part of my DNA the way Pavement ...

Re: 90s band: Pavement

I liked them back in the day but never enough to bother to see them live. (Or even to bother leading many of the names to their songs. When I click on links to some of their songs, my reaction is, “Oh yeah! That one!”) Maybe I assumed that their shows sold be half-assed? My loss.

Re: 90s band: Pavement

Spiral Stairs wrote some of their absolute best tunes- Painted Soldiers, Kennel District, Date w/IKEA. Always wondered if he got outvoted by SM or if his flashes of inspiration were rare. Cuz those Preston School records aren't super great.

Re: Sound Devices 422 mixer

Any reason to believe that these would be better sound quality than a Midas mixer? I’ve seen these around and wondered

We have a 664 and a MixPre6 at work. Both are very expensive, especially the 664. Both are recorder/mixers and the MixPre can also be a 8ch interface, the 442 is just a little ...
