The Shure Beta 52 is pretty decent for a low frequency dynamic. I like it lots on kick drum. I think it's a bit cheaper than a D112 also.

I would advise against attaching it to your pinkie, you can get electrocuted by that. With fenders, they attach the ground to the bridge. dunno where they attach it with an SG.
