It's terrible but I wish she had a project whereby she was just the singer. The song she did on the first Magnolia Electric Co. record was great. Maybe she could do a record with Will Oldham or something. She has a terrific voice.

Less of an 'indie rock' confession, and one that's about music in general: my ears are no longer open to 'all kinds of music'. That trait you see in some music enthusiasts who jive about the latest Afropop gypsy-hardcore act in the same breath as Kylie and Anal Cunt, she no longer exists in me. I'm done with this pseudish cockery. I know what I like, and I don't have enough time to fuck around with much of the shit outside of that.

That was more than a sentence.
