89I have watched David Bowie's performance of "Young Americans" from a 1974 Dick Cavett performance about 5 times in the past couple of days. It is so fucking great though Bowie's too coke-tired to hit the falsetto. Look for Luther Vandross among the background singers.
"Young Americans" probably isn't Bowie's finest song by a long shot, but it is undoubtedly my favorite.
