I know it's all just prompts and stuff but in the right horror context it goes down easy like a Twinkie.

Is there AI brainrot? I've got my finger at the pulse of the kiddies, and what they need is a channel of generative meme creation and screaming idiots doing Skibidi Toilet rection videos in Esperanto, while morphing into mukbanging anime characters in a 24/7 streaming mobius strip of entropy. The current overstimulation process is far too laborious. We need to do more with less! Efficiency, people!

If it ain't broke don't fix it, episode 87.

So when I list stuff on ebay, I generally put links in the description to the manufacturers page on the item and/or a decent review. This is what I've always done, I've been using ebay for over 20 years.

Two weeks ago I get an email from ebay telling me I have violated T&C's on a listing and that I have to revise it, and that all my listings have been suspended until I do. No information as to what the violation is other than something general about trying to do business outside of ebay, so I don't know what I'm supposed to be revising. I also know that I'm not violating anything. The email also happened to mention they are now using AI to monitor for these violations.

I ended up on the phone to someone that blamed a link to a SoS magazine review. Not understanding how that was violating anything I asked for more information. They said there was a purchase button on the page I linked to. The purchase button is so you can buy a PDF of the review.

I couldn't be bothered to argue with someone that English isn't their first language and is so far away geographically that the beginning of phrases sometimes were cut off so I just removed the link. Progress eh?

If you enjoy that stuff, I’m not going to say you’re wrong, but I block every single recommended YouTube channel that produces fake AI music and movie trailers. “Married with Children in 1950s Panavision”—shit like that. I can’t stand it.

About every month, YouTube thinks I want to hear fake 1950s R&B songs with titles like “Oops! I Shit My Pants!” I fucking hate it.

Same here. I hate that shit. It got old, really fast.

But, I'm also trying to avoid "the algorithm" having far too much of a say on my viewing choices – music docs/concerts and cute animal videos notwithstanding, although even then, I've been noticing a growing number of shitty AI generated (or lazy Wikipedia sourced) content on those as well.
