Crap. Most of their albums were in the import cut-out bins while they were an active unit. I took a chance on one, and lost.

I listened to Jane From Occupied Europe on my way to a business appointment today. It's all over the place, but I think that is what makes it such a great record, esp. for the time.

i prefer the 'rock' songs (most of 'Marineville') to the experimental jam stuff (a lot of 'Jane'), but not crap at all. it sounds like they had about 10 guitarists on some of that stuff!

One of my favorite bands of all time. Not Crap, ever. I like the rocking stuff and the experimental stuff. A huge influence on me...

I miss Nikki Sudden being around. Saw him play and talked to him about two weeks before he died and everything seemed okay. I didn't know he was still doing hard drugs here and there. Was a quite a shock. I actually like some of his solo work, even though it's a lot different from the Swell Maps stuff..
