Digging this, too!rsmurphy wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2026 9:36 am Mute has re-released last year's Attempted Martyr from Prostitute, a noise-rock band based in Michigan. Digging the hell out of this. Densely-packed and layered noise-rock with exceptional musicianship and Middle Eastern seasoning. Dedicated to Lebanon.

34It's not bad, although the band name is dumb. They're on at the same time as Richard Dawson at Roadburn. Think I'll chose Rich.rsmurphy wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2026 9:36 am Mute has re-released last year's Attempted Martyr from Prostitute, a noise-rock band based in Michigan. Digging the hell out of this. 35The new Sunn O))) has me questioning whether or not I should renew my lease, because there ain't no way I'm playing this as loudly as I should be. Killer.

36Saw them Friday - no opener, just 90 mins of them. 3rd time seeing them, smallest venue yet (weird? Busy weekend or something I guess)major wrote: Tue Apr 07, 2026 4:43 pm The new Sunn O))) has me questioning whether or not I should renew my lease, because there ain't no way I'm playing this as loudly as I should be. Was sold out, we were nut to butt across the whole place. Stellar as always.
Interesting fact - the Rothko on the back (#61 Rust and Blue) has been tattooed on my right forearm for 5 years. I got it as my 1 year sobriety anniversary gift to myself. Rothko is my absolute GOAT in terms of modern art.
So now they're copping Earth AND ME!
