Any word on the Sunn resurrection?
Iwas subscribed to the email list for a bit. Took myself off when I got an offer to be an investor. Felt very "got you in on the ground floor" to me.
Shame, because it looks great.
I would love a single channel Concert Lead clone with a small footprint and no reverb.

I’m really interested in the Heiserman Type 21 coming out - it’s like a fancy 251 capsule in a 414 sort of format like their Type 19 (which uses a 47 capsule), that I like a lot.
I guess where the Type 19 excels at “heavier” sounds, like drums and amps, the Type 21 is more airy for acoustic stuff. Too expensive for me to buy any time soon, so I’ll just post about it instead.

A dude in my city opened a fancy, boutique audio shop. He has the Heisermann ELAM 251 clone available for demo. I really want to try it out, but I feel like I'd be wasting his time because I probably never will spend $6k on a microphone, and I maybe buy a microphone that costs a fraction of that once every four or five years.

My next door neighbour's family business is a metal fab shop, and he also plays the drums, so I hit him up about making some front panels for the mic pres I mentioned a few pages back and he turned them around in an afternoon.
Abe saved me hundreds, thank you , Abe!

That's when I jumped off as well, hopefully something happens but man, their strategy is strange.

Great solution to save some money! are the panels only held by the board mounted pots? Or are brackets on the back for stability?

They're only attached at the pots, which isn't the most robust option, but once they're in the rack the panel screws and tab connection at the back should help distribute the weight I think/hope?
I've been waiting for months for a decently priced used 500 rack to pop up but so far no dice. I guess now I kinda have to just bite the bullet?

The Midas rack is quite affordable, and unlike the Fredenstein rack it has a power switch on the front panel……

Cool - i'm waiting for a reply from Carhill but I have some nice transformers I kept from and old preamp project
that R. Neve designed, and I have zero info on them. if what they give me works out I'll send one too you and if you give thumbs up then I'll build my own too!
Oh wow - very cool, I’d happily swap you a PCB and a faceplate for that if they’re in the ballpark.
Thought I replied early this week sorry! Carnhill got back to me VERY quickly, and even made up a new drawing so they had it captured. Shoutout to Carnhill I would do business with them in a second.
But yeah this won't work at all for you haha. I measured the windings and this is what I got, I thought I had something wrong
Winding ratio: 1 to 1 to 1
DC resistance ( +/-15%):
Primary: 48
Secondary 1: 68
SSecondary 2: 68
Inductance (1 - 6) @100Hz, 0.1V: 100mH min.
