Sure, they can be hit or miss, but when The Brians Bolt* are on, they are just so incredibly on. When I witness them tearing it up, really tearing it up, I just get this overwhelming feeling that I wouldn't rather be anywhere else on earth at that moment. It's a sublime violence, entirely liberating.
What I'm trying to say is, those two are quite capable of bringing the proverbial it.
I wasn't all that impressed with them years ago when my buddy Tony burned me a recording of theirs, but once I got to see Lightning Bolt live, up close and in their full glory on a good night, it was very obvious what an exceptional underground band these guys are.
They are legends!

*People here don't call them "The Brians Bolt" by the way, I was just being corny.
