Anyway, the nod goes to the SNES, but only by a Jibbles eyelash. The SNES had the fancy Mode 7 effects and the Genesis had a much faster processor. Sega had Phantasy Star, Sonic, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, and a ton of killer arcade ports. Nintendo had the luxury of having the NES as the more successful predecessor to pilfer titles from (Metroid, Zelda, Mario, Castlevania) to make sequels out of and...

Super Metroid was one of the best damn games ever...FFIII was also one of my favorites...

also i have played on both systems and SNES had a much higher replayability factor that Sega just never ever had...

SNES is probably my favorite video game console of all time. I had one growing up that my step-dad took away from me. I bought my own in 1998 that I still own today, along with about 21 or so games, though there are many, many more awesome ones for the system.
