The first record I'm gonna play on this thing is an original pressing of Tonight's the Night.

The black label will look much awesome as it spins on that thing.

The original Tonights the Night is my holy grail. How did you come across it? It comes with like blotter paper and some Swedish article or something right?

Oh yeah that table is beautiful.

Record store in athens has one for sale for $450. Seems steep, especially since it's been sitting there for months.

Thanks.

I got my copy of TNT inj St. Louis last summer on my way to the Ralph family reunion. I think I paid fifteen bucks for it. No Swedish article, though--just a fantastic record in its original form.

BER! That looks like it came with a nice tonearm as well! Nice little score! Have someone at the shop show you how to set it up once you get it home! You will rock the fuckin' woods with it!

Salut!

BUMP.

There is a Luxman PD-264 on my local Craigslist for $125 (with an Audio Technica cartridge).

Would this be a worth while replacement from my kinda crappy Stanton STR8-20 I've been using for the last three years?

That's a fairly good price for the Luxman, which by all accounts are nice tables for what they offer. It's not going to be the end all but better than what you have, probably by a mile.

Here's a review of the 284 which is very similar:

Which AT is on it?

That's a really good price for that table, provided that it is in top notch condition, which these tables rarely are unless they have been refurbished and gone over by someone knowledgeable.

Waiting to hear back about the cartridge.

Also, the tone arm holder is missing. I forgot to mention that in my original post.
