2Well, I'D take the Jazzmaster, but that's not much use to you - what are you going to be using it for, what sort of sounds do you want, etc.?

3hm i dont know, really.
i used to have a tele before, now looking for a different sort of guitar. maybe im gonna use it for a slight overdriven guitar sounds, but im not sure. i just want a different guitar than the tele i used to own. now im leaning on a lp dc special (or is it a jr? i dont know what to call it, the one with p90s and neck binding)
anyone with experience with these guitars?

4Just go out to a shop and play on all the guitars that your looking at. I recommend using the same setup that you use at your home or live. You may have to drag your own amp and pedals to the store. Most stores are ok with this.. Call them to comfirm.
I only recommend this because your rig will effect the sound you will get.
Have fun and play with the guitars. Take your time and find what feels right to you.
Dont feel rushed if a salesman bugs you. Take your time. Its your money.
Enjoy, and let us know what you get.. Pics would be cool too!!!

5i think you're talking about the les paul faded double cutaway.
i think they are good, solid guitars, but for some extra bucks, you can get a gibson sg classic, p-90s, and they look fantastic.

6I've played them all, and I own a CIJ. I'm freaky in love with my CIJ. It's an 87 col wht.
I'd buy the CIJ, but they can be finnicky instruments...
...also check out the jm threads in tech. We've prolly discussed them a few 100 times by now. :)

8there's a shop near my apartment that has a Gibson Les Paul DC that is, I'm pretty sure, part of their "faded" series. Reddish stained wood. a couple P90's. holy crap is that thing beautiful. every time I see it, I want to buy it. it's like $500-something. seems reasonable.
if I had money to spend, and needed a guitar, i'm fairly confident that would be the one.

Yeah I'd buy that too. Always wanted one. But I'm microphone hunting right now.

tried an sg standard at a local shop just now, and now im hooked. nothing much soundwise IMO, but i really liked the look.
sad thing is they only have the standard; no classic, no '61.
so, sg classic? or should i save some more for a '61? price difference is about $300..
