What's up. You might have known me from producing the last three Big Black records. If not, I'm Lu and I'm thinking about saving the planet by buying an electric car. This is my favorite right now. It's a Hyundai Kona EV and right now it's the best the money can buy in my country. This fully charged episode is quite good! With that in mind, my country is giving out a stimulus next month to purchase those. I'm applying!!!

I've been driving a Volt for 2+ years. 75% of my miles have been all-electric. Don't think I'll ever go back to a traditional ICE vehicle.

Is that Hyundai a hybrid or 100% electric? Either way, I don't think it's available here yet. Here in Austin, Teslas are all over the place. They're pretty fucking expensive, but I hear there's a new one in the 30K range. I have to drive a truck because of my line of work, what with the carrying my tools and all, but the moment an electric pickup truck comes on the market at a reasonable price, I'll be all over that shit. Meanwhile I have exactly one payment left on my Silverado, so I am happy I'll soon be free of car payments. Also, the planet does't need saving, the human race does. The planet isn't going anywhere. To paraphrase George Carlin, the planet will shake us off like a bad case of fleas. So there.

So there.pre-owned model s teslas can be found in the 30-40k range now - so far battery health seems to be great, though we're still in largely uncharted waters. agreed that an electric pickup would be bitchin'. as would an electric van...i've got an audi e-tron (the wagon model produced from 2016-2018, not the brand new crossover of the same name) and i love it. hybrid, not 100% ev, but i can still go 800-900 miles between fuel-ups since i can charge at home and at work.

It's a 100% electric. I think it goes up to around 450-500km metric per charge. That's what, 300 miles American? And then you can charge the battery with some breaking technology shit. Super weird stuff. This one costs around 37.500 ‚¬, but there is a 11.000 ‚¬ deduction stimulus to purchase one next month in this shit hole of a country. If I get one, I'm buying.

Don't get me wrong, I can't wait until used electric cars come down to real-world prices, because I've just about had it with gasoline, but let's not pretend that they're not toys for preppy WASPs at the moment. It'll all work out in due time, I'm sure. It usually does.

There is a place here in Santa Cruz that will convert any car to electric. Prices start at around $10K for an "in-town grocery getter" with a top speed of 45mph and go up to over $20k.
