The drum sound on that album is pretty much my perfect drum sound.

Hearing the drumming on the first Shellac album sort of chainged my random improv sort of drumming style (I used to make up alot of my fills as I went along - not a bad thing necessarily) of 8 years or whatever to a more solid style, and I've never gone back (for 'rock' type stuff anyway).

A couple of I'll comment on :

The Mentally Ill 7" is one of my favourite punk singles of all-time. And no, I don't own an original of it (although I did get the great 'Gacys Place' CD reissue from a couple of years ago).
