Saw Cast a Deadly Spell yesterday, had not ever heard of it until this week. Early 90's made for HBO film and one of Julianne Moore earliest film roles (she's not given anything special to do in it). Also, White Star, early 80's film with Dennis Hopper. By the point the film starts he's already chewed the scenery and is getting started with the camera. Out of his mind for the 90 minutes of it. Probably the only reason to watch it, though.

I also enjoyed The Secret Agent a lot, don't remember if I mentioned it.

I saw Sirat this week , I don't know. Make sure you watch it with BIG sound, I guess. If you're not in a good place emotionally it may not be a good pick.

Saw Supermarkt, by Roland Klick, who got on my radar by having a different film film of his soundtracked by Can. Didn't care much for it.

Watched Mildred Pierce , to go with the Todd Haynes retrospective a local arts center carried recently. Enjoyed it. I don't like spoilers, but a certain character is one of the most hateable ever put to screen (and paper, I imagine).

Tried to watch All Her Fault , but gave up after a few episodes ...
