We started watching Girls 5 Eva. A few episodes in, and it's just ok so far. I've heard it gets better. I really don't like how the scripts have so many celeb references (Dan Cortese?) that are going to require footnotes someday. It's just lazy writing.

Not crap. Wasn't crazy about their first two albums, until Bloom . That was the one that did it for me. Gorgeous, shimmering, Cocteau Twins-esque tunes. Liked a few songs on Depression Cherry , but haven't really followed them since. It's wild that their fan base has grown since 'Space Song' blew up...

About a week or 2 ago I got the rejection email for the summer PRFBBQ. This was the first time I had submitted my music to it. A few questions:

1. Do they generally favor louder, noisier bands?
2. If you submitted your band to a PRF fest, how many tries did it take before you got in?

A fairly unique group who were written off as goofs at first, but then proved themselves later on. They seemed to be having more fun than everyone else during their peak years in the 90's.
