Doesn't Caribbean cooking use Scotch bonnets? The shops where I live are full of them rather than habaneros, but I think they are closely related.

Outside of about five years in Paraguay, most of my youth (late 70s-early 90s) was spent in the southwest. At various times my family lived in Tucson, El Paso, Alamogordo, and then finally settling in Denver. The jalapeño was ubiquitous, whether it was in green chile, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros ...

I kind of agree with the last two folks. The twin melodic guitar/widdly-diddly metal solos feel so out of place. If I'm going to listen to early Japanese hardcore, the Comes No Side album, Gauze, Deef, Crow, and Confuse are more up my alley.

I don't know if they are done-done, but they've been on a hiatus since the drummer stepped back to raise his kid. After that each brother went on to do their own projects.
