Good to see you around these parts. You guys were really fucking great opening up for the Circuits of Steel tour at Fat Cat's in 2003. So that project's dormant now?

Wow. Didn't expect anybody to know any of those bands (except Kill Me Tomorrow).

I'm not playing with Go Spread Your Wings anymore. They are still performing as a 2 piece. They are MUCH more structured than before. Check out the new stuff on their myspace page.

I'll have to. I should note that I was part of the CoS tour, performing then as Stoic Sex Pro. (That was the ring modulated guitar loops, the Bush samples, etc.) The story behind that name is that I was performing as Toxic Spores in 2001, and then with the anthrax attacks, the name just didn't seem "funny" anymore. So I generated a bunch of anagrams and had friends vote on them. (I could have been Pecos Ox Stir or To Corpse Six, for example.) I dropped the Stoic Sex Pro name officially after the tour, as I'd changed my way of working at that time, and wasn't doing anything like the old SSP set anymore.

My duos The Stem Cell Liberation Front and The Unindicted Co-Conspirators could perform at any time, although it's easier to schedule myself as a solo act. Lately I've been performing live music (as a solo act, guitar, PowerBook, and--yep--ukulele) for a troupe of belly dancers.

I always liked the bands' names that I've been a part of - maybe not so much the first one, but I joined post-naming.

In chronological order, starting 'round '87-'88:

Laissez Faire
The Lupins (early version)
Telehater
The Creepies
Teeth
Chassis
Farm Team
Ex-Fuck You Dude
Foot
Luff
Century Rocket Building
GasMask (auxiliary)
BearHawk (formerly D'Illustrio, futurely maybe something else)
the Boo-Koos

(Last five are current, in varying stages of writing, recording, playing, and/or hiberating.)

Bellpepper
Capital 2
Drinking Solution
Kill Me Tomorrow (yes, the one on GSL)
Dagny Tagart
Self Portrait 1937
Touchless Automatic
*mytwilightpilot*
Of Normandy
Go Spread Your Wings
Self Portrait
The Kimonos
The Gaze

I'll take credit for Capital 2, Self Portrait 1937, Self Portrait and The Gaze. All of the others were existing names or I simply didn't care enough to ever say anything.

Capital 2 was my first 'serious' band when I was in college. Self Portrait 1937 was the name of my solo recording project. When my friend and I started working together, I decided to drop the '1937' part.

The Gaze? Well, that's simply a joke that must be experienced: August 5th if you're in Houston.

i've definitely heard of Touchless Automatic, though i can't remember in what context.
if i got lasik surgery on one eye, i could wear a monacle.
