If a woman sees in another woman something she admires or wants to be (be it physical or in terms of personality), she will silently latch onto the individual and record every movement and then lash out in an attempt to destroy said individual. She will often succeed.

It's absolutely disgusting. Half the time, I'm embarassed to be a part of the female species (the other half of the time is when dudes are paying my rent and/or buying me drinks... then I love having tits).

Speaking of Nadia Boulanger, have you heard any or much of the work of her sister Lili Boulanger?

I've only heard some snippets, not enough to get a real feel for her. Apparently she was quite brilliant. Her style is supposed to be a mix of Debussy, Faure, etc... in the so called "impressionist" style. Isn't surprising, since both her parents were instructors at the Paris Conservatore, and she took composition courses from Faure. She was quite pretty, in addition to being chronicly ill from Crohn's disease. She died shortly after WWI, volunteering as a nurse in a war hospital. Her sister Nadia gave up composing from that time on and only taught.

I am interested in finding some of her works for full Orchestra, if you know of any recordings. I've mainly just seen bits of her chamber works. Sorry no quartets that I know of.

Sorry about the long delay in responding, but ever since Rachael and I shacked up things have been a bit crazy here, and all of my LP's and all of her comics have been everywhere.

I only have one lp in which her music is performed, and it is all chamber music for piano and paino trio. It's quite nice, sort of between Faure and Debussy. Nice very French stuff. I don't believe there is a whole lot out there. When more shit gets unpacked, i will check my Canfields LP guide if you would like.
