What do you guys think of The Hill then?
Perhaps turn a blind eye to any memories of their most recent efforts.

2The first record was great but everything they've done since has unfortunately ruined their reputation in my eyes.

4I like the one with Sonic Youth, "I Love You Mary Jane", and "Hits From The Bong" with its loop of the intro to "Son of a Preacher Man".
And I like the idea of a rap act devoted to one subject -- nothing but weed, with all its jargon and dozens of variations. Where is the Cypress Hill equivalent for cars, or cooking, or model trains, or the Civil War, or chess?

5i hate b real's voice. i also find it funny how a number of their hits had the following hook formula:
b real: line
sen dog: abbreviated echo
examples:
b real: insane in the membrane
sen dog: insane in the brain
b real: i ain't going out like that
sen dog: i ain't going out
and a slight deviation:
b real: here is something you can't understand
sen dog: how i could just kill a man
to be a stickler, two of those, as far as i can tell, are not about weed. nor is rock star.

Well, that's Hiphop for you. That technique is very common.
They do manage to do it in an extremely simple way though.
However, Sen did a couple of decent raps on Temples of Boom.

..and drive by's. Funny, I have never seen someone go violent over too much weed. Good thing they weren't singing about meth.
