I've moved up to first place in one of my leagues at 5-1-0 and in the other league I'm 4-2-0

I was supposedly the joke of my league, mainly because I drafted crumpler before gates. I'll admit, I didn't pay attention to gates but crumpler has been a solid start all year long.

current roster:

QB: McNabb
QB: Plummer

RB: Alexander
RB: Jordan
RB: K. Jones
RB: T.J. Duckett

WR: Fitzgerald
WR: R. Williams (struggling)
WR: Bryant
WR: Stokley
(I could use a better wideout, fitzgerald is solid, the others are way too inconsistent)

TE: Crumpler
TE: Wiggins

K: Vanderjagt

D:Baltimore
D: Dallas
(could use another D too)

how's everyones teams doing?

hi sack! my team is doing pretty well despite week 5 when i had nearly all my starters on a bye. still came close to winning though. i’m 3-3-0 right now. not great but i like where i’m at considering the other teams and injuries in my division. i have yet to play the crap teams in the league yet so i have no worries. my lineup:

qb - kerry collins (concerned about moss’ status)

rb - julius jones (sat out this week but should be fine)

rb - lamont jordan (took a chance for when i drafted him but he’s starting to pay off)

wr - steve smith (incredible numbers so far)

wr - plaxico burress (pleasant suprise so far)

te - aaron kinney (pretty irrelevant)

def - cincinatti (awesome awesome awesome)

k - lawrence tynes (decent)

backups:
qb - kelly holcomb (looking good so far)
rb - marshall faulk (he actually touched the ball last night)
wr - eddie kinnison
wr - lee evans
def - redskins (put lavar on the field!)

i’ve won 3 $10 bonuses so far for highest scoring team and highest scoring player!

Just clawed my way back up to .500 witht he following squad:

QB - Kerry Collins (I hear you about the injury to Moss)
RB - Jamal Lewis
RB - Rudi Johnson
WR - Jimmy Smith
WR - Santana Moss (On fire this year, 33 points on Sunday!)
TE - Ben Troupe (sleeper!)
K - Mike Vanderjagt
D- Falcons
+1 flex player RB/WR/TE

On the bench:
QB - Tom Brady
RB - Chris Perry
RB - Antowain Smith (waiver wire add last week)
WR - Donte Stallworth (too inconsistent for me)
WR - Kevin Curtis
WR - Roy Williams (see Stallworth)
D - Jets (dropping after this week for another RB maybe)

I've got a good combination of guys getting warmed up now, but I'm disappointed by the first RB and WR I drafted (Lewis and R. Williams). We'll see how it shakes up in the next 8 weeks. I've been so close to the high scorer award twice now...this weekend is going to be it!

hi karl. not sure when garcia gets back for detroit but i think it’s relatively soon. i think roy williams will start to do better then. i can’t believe how inept harrington now is. well, i believe it, but i didn’t think he would be so extremely bad.

yeah, jamal lewis. what is happening with him?
isn’t chester taylor nearly leading the team in rushing with about 1/4th of the carries lewis has?

we have too many teams in our league. picking up a decent backup running back is near impossible. i’m long down the list on the waiver wire and every move i make, someone trumps me.

In the preseason it looked like Detroit was going to be on fire this year. Guess that was a miscue by all the commentators, but the late pick of Santana has been the saving grace of the draft.

I screwed up in the final round of our draft when I missed out on Chester Taylor to handcuff Jamal Lewis in case of injury, but Chris Perry from Cincy backing up Rudi may very well be a better selection if he keeps catching passes like he's doing. Hopefully he can be this year's Brian Westbrook since Westbrook isn't interested in the job.

I was hoping Jamal would come back from prison harder than ever, but I guess he got punked so many times it's taking him a little longer to return to form.

I'm playing in a league with 12 teams, so we have plenty of WR's still available, but the RB's are getting a little thin. With all the injuries going around the past couple of weeks the backups who are splitting carries are about as good as it's going to get.
