Well, I was going to go to law school, until I read our Constitution and discovered that in 2000 the Supreme Court violated the Constitution by deciding that the electoral votes were enough to put Bush in office. Whacked! In each and every decision the Supreme Court makes they are to rule according to the will of the people, in 2000 that would have been the popular vote, which voted Al Gore in office, but I guess no one is ever going to pay attention to that. I would ask, if you make it through law school and pass the bar, please don't be inaccessible with ridiculous rates for your services.

There are plenty of good arguments supporting the idea that the Supreme Court was wrong in their ruling in the case of Bush v. Gore. The idea that "In each and every decision the Supreme Court makes they are to rule according to the will of the people" is not one of them.

When* I make it through law school and pass the bar, my rates will not be ridiculous. They may be high enough to make me inacessible to some people. I don't know what my law career will be like, so I can't make any promises on that front. If I'm working for a prosecutor's office, the point seems like it would be moot.

Question for lawyers: is it the case that all lawyers are required to do a certain amount of pro bono work?

Think very hard about whether or not a law degree is necessary for the career you want to pursue.

Think very hard about whether or not you want to be surrounded by lawyers for the rest of your life.

Working at a law firm annihilated any desire I once had to pursue a career in law.

Have you thought about being a teacher? We need some fucking teachers.
