there seems to be an ongoing trend where folks are not clear on how to search for a topic before posting, and as a result there's a lot of doubly-posted polls. and we all know that polls do not look better in doubly.
there's the whole sticky topic about how to post a new topic, but 1a says to do a search without really going into detail about how to do it. maybe even just make mention of the "search" item in the forum's toolbar area... i have a feeling it goes unnoticed by a lot of folks, who end up using something like "find" on the edit menu of their browser, which is only gonna return a result if the poll is on the page they're looking at etc. and also maybe mention the significance of the "search for all terms" radio button, cause otherwise lots of band names (like "at the drive-in" for example) will return a zillion results.
seems like this would be good to have in a sticky topic.
