thank fuck! someone finally said it.

how is it the case that the english music press so consistently champion the wrong bands? i'm being good are a great band but you will not see them mentioned anywhere.

i remember a band called cat on form that used to play around brighton a lot. their gigs were incendiary. they had this profound effect on people which i'd imagine would be like people seeing rites of spring or the mc5 for the first time. you'd get people in the audience where you could see their perception of life had actually changed during a gig. songs would end and people would be shirtless and openly weeping. i swear people were actually concieved during their shows. yet, they were completely ignored by the press despite pretty consistent touring.

I don't recall them ever being ignored. I think they did not too bad out of the whole thing.

I'm surprised anyone can think Maximo Park are a good band. If you think they are, start a crap/not crap poll about them, and see what people think.

i dont want to start a crap/not crap thread cause, unlike you, i dont care what other people think of them

I think you're all fucked in the head. We're ten hours from the fucking fun park and you want to bail out. Well I'll tell you something. This is no longer a vacation. It's a quest. It's a quest for fun.

The one time I went to Brighton my friend took me to see Cat on Form play with The Panthers. COF were great, really great. I didn't cry though, you puff.
