Not crap with waffles. "A New England" and Mermaid Avenue are both fantastic, and "Little Time Bomb" on Worker's Playtime is one of the most perfect, beautiful songs ever written.

He had some shit and he had some brilliance. 'The Saturday Boy' remains one of my favorite songs of all time.

oh man, back to basics!!!! a new england is truly a great, fun song -- also between the wars! oh boy!! i didn't realize how good this guy was when introduced to that wilco thing years back. i was anti just to be a spiteful person. upon taking a personal, lone listen to back to basics, tho... woweee!

Not crap based solely on his cover of Joe Hill. Phil Ochs did it better, but on occasion I dig on some Bragg.

have listened to this guy for a long time, but I have never really asked anyone else what they think about him.

His political songs can be grating at times, but I think he writes mostly good songs.

I still have major waffles for putting "Capitalism is Killing Music" on the cover of an album that came out on a major label. (When will people learn that being affiliated with a large capitalist corporation does not do much for your anti-capitalism anti-establishment message?)
