I'm not a big fries fan but I love Doug's fries, duck-fat or regular. They are always perfectly crisp and fresh out of the fryer. I've never had a bad batch of fries there. I don't think I can say this about any other place I've had fries at more than twice. In fact, nothing at Hot Doug's ever seems like it's not as fresh as possible. Truly astounding! Compare his $1.50 Vienna Beef Chicago dog to the $2.00 one at Underdog. You will laugh, and that laugh will be followed by anger.

If I'm in Wicker Park, then yes, I probably am high and drunk. But I prolly got high first so no puky.

Seriously, that was the only thing my wife and I planned to eat when we came to Chicago.
