a lot of people criticize Movement for sounding too much like Joy Division, like they couldn't find their own sound...but i think Movement was an extension of and a progression of what Joy Division had been doing...it doesn't retread old ground, but pushes forward along the same line they'd been on...and yeah, great record...

Freebass? I guess it's apt, since at least two of them out of the three were/are cokeheads.
I make music/I also make pretty pictures

i like _movement_ ok

i love _power, corruption, and lies_. love it. brilliant album, huge influence on a lot of good and bad music ever since its release.

'blue monday,' great single

i love _low-life_

i like _brotherhood_ a whole lot

i like _technique_ a lot as well

_republic_, pretty bad, and i didn't hear after that

Have gotten more into the first few records lately.

Also: Republic, a much better record than I thought when I first heard it. It was the start of a pretty good slide lyrically, but it's got some great songs on it ("Regret"), and musically it is very strong throughout. They got slicker and slicker, which also threw me off back when it came out.

Get Ready, ditto.

Sirens Call, I think I've gotten to the point w/them where I'm gonna enjoy almost everything. Some of the lyrics are quite dumb. But I enjoy listening to it.

Maybe they'll unbreakup again someday.
