Christian Punk. I really don't like seeing both of those words in the same phrase.

Something I don't understand is the christian 'mirror image'. Christians will take anything, even music genres, attach the word "Christian" to them, and whatever it is the word "Christian" is attached to is automatically good and moral.

No Joke. I saw a van for a "Christian" carpet cleaning service. They had a little fish on the side and everything.

I am very anti-christian, and I do not listen to openly "Christian" music. However, I may like bands who happen to have members who are christian or are christians who are in a band. Thats fine by me. I don't like hearing about the glory of jesus in the music I listen to, especially not in Metal or Punk songs. These styles of music don't seem fit to "spread the gospel", and when they do, its laughable. Lots of rappers talk about god.

The evidence of P.O.D's (?) evil is pretty hard-hitting stuff.

P.O.D. is frequently quoted in rock magazines openly using profanity. In Circus magazine, Traa of P.O.D . says,

“Of course we got the same view on life as most people out there - it’s too short and most of the time it’s quite a shi**y business.” (Circus, July 2002, p.22)

Other instances of P.O.D.s profanity; "f---ing" (Guitar World, Nov. 2001, p. 54); "D--n it!" (Drum!, Sept.-Oct. 2001, p. 86); "p--s us off" (Drum!, Sept.-Oct. 2001, p. 87) "d--n " (Revolver, Nov/Dec 2001, p.63) "p--sed off" (AP, Nov. 2001, p. 59) "half a-sed" (Circus, July 2002 p. 22). And there are others.

I just laughed my ass off reading the comments on that page...like this gem:

This CD pushed CCM music to another level. Much like Nirvanna after this cd released, CCM labels were no longer pushing Metal and Arena Rock. This was so fresh and new for CCM at the time and spawned so many radio hits. It is listed as CCM magazines top 100 albums of all time.


Holy shit that's funny.
