true. does anyone have a problem with this, think she's using these musicians, etc.? i've heard people claim that before but i think she's mostly just trying to stay in step with what's going on, not just for fear of being outmoded but also because why the hell not? it's nice to collaborate with folks you like.

well, maybe those musicians think they are aligning themselves with her... i'm sure she attracts a lot of talented people without even trying, as well as vice versa.

also i find it kinda bizarre that she (such a little lady) has a 21 year old kid. HUH?

- 45 minutes? i like long showers myself but by 30 minutes or so generally hot water is running out. as it is people make fun of me for long showers.

- she's 41, so she had the kid at 20, and the kid wasn't born 21-year-old-sized so her "little lady"-ness doesn't preclude birthin'

The new one is getting mixed reviews. Really, the only one I truly loved was Homogenic. Vespertine made me tired and depressed... the early stuff had too many car commercial beats -- I guess on this latest one she's gone Blue Man Group. I like her though, I just ran out of coffee, so maybe my opinion is influenced by that... wait did I already comment on this thread?

well, i'd say her 90s stuff is very 90s, very techno flavored, but that doesn't bother me... also, she's still kind of techno flavored so it doesn't seem as much like a passing thing with her.

debut = a little too housy
post = good!
homogenic = good!
vespertine = kinda boring
medulla = good!
volta = haven't really heard yet

i just finished taking an hour shower (big gas water heater) while listening to the NEW bjork! it was great!!!

you two who hated on the new one... i just heard it for the first time today and can honestly say it's the best record of hers i've heard in a long time. fun, dancy, silly, big... sheesh. volta: nc! i can even tolerate the almost techno beats/swells. fuck it! i'm down!
