Chicago Hot Dog Crawl?

Hot Doug's is a great idea because it'll be early and the neighborhood as plenty of parking.

My idea is:

1. Hot Doug's - 3324 N California Ave
2. Superdawg - 6363 N. Milwaukee Avenue
3. Huey's Hot Dogs - 1507 W Balmoral Ave Chicago, IL
4. Weiner's Circle - 2622 N. Clark St.
5. Gold Coast Dogs - 2415 N. Clark St.
6. Jim's Original - 700 W. O'Brien St.
7. Duk's Red Hots - 636 N. Ashland Ave.
8. Sam's Red Hots - 2375 W Armitage Ave

And then back

*I added in Huey's to try and break up the long haul between Superdawg and Weiner's Circle. I have never been there.

here it is on google maps

Or, since it's a big loop, we could go south side first...

What do you think?

I have the perfect dog for this if anyone is interested, my new neighbor has some nasty little thing that barks nonstop all night and day...they leave it out back all day, I'm sure I could just snatch it up real quick and deliver it to you guys.
Probably not a lot of meat on it, but I figure it's really more symbolic than anything

UPDATE: I just ate a dog from Sam's and it was delish.

I was also advised to consider a few more places, bringing the grand total to 12 joints:

Hot Doug's - 3324 N California Ave
Superdawg - 6363 N. Milwaukee Avenue
Wolfie's - 2734 W Peterson Ave
Huey's Hot Dogs - 1507 W Balmoral Ave
Byron's Dog Haus - 1017 Irving Park Rd.
Weiner's Circle - 2622 N. Clark St.
Gold Coast Dogs - 2415 N. Clark St.
Jim's Original - 700 W. O'Brien St.
Duk's Red Hots - 636 N. Ashland Ave.
Jimmy's Red Hots - 4000 W. Grand Ave.
Sam's Red Hots - 2375 W Armitage Ave.
Vienna Beef Factory - 2501 N Damen Ave.

revised map

Is that too much?

Just an idea in case the trolly is too pricey.

A few of us can volunteer to drive. I have a car so I would be more than happy to be one of the drivers. Everyone will have to find there own way to dougs and for the rest of the crawl we can carpool.

Each car can have a different musical "personality."
Someone can have a car playing only Shellac/big black.
Another car can will play only punk........ and so on. You get the idea.

Again this is just a thought if the trolly is out of our price range.

If we do go along with the car idea. I will be playing a what I would call a dub/fuck/psychedelic mix. And my car would find ways to stay with the pace of the crawl while finding ways to sneak beers in between. I likes my beer on the weekend.

Oh man, I wish I could get in on this but I don't think I'm in Chicago again until late August.

I hope this thing is extensively chronicled in a variety of media. Somewhere around 3/4 of the way through the loop, audio is going to be essential.

We could do a NYC one, either with pizza or burgers.

Or street carts.

Street carts?! We'd have to have our last wills and testaments safety-pinned to our shirts.

Pizza is a good one, but that would force us all the way out to Coney Island. No pizza tour would be complete without going to Totonno's.

And more than 5 or 6 slices of NY pie would put me in a coma.
