I don't think anyone should use it (or its supposedly more acceptable, "friendly" variation, which I think is also bullshit), but white people lost their n-word privileges a long time ago. That includes telling black people whether they should use it or not. Not my business.

I don't use either. "Nigger" reminds me of some racist rednecks I knew. "Nigga" reminds me of the suburban white boys I knew. If retelling a story I use "N word" whether to a black or white person I'm speaking.

I'd would have no complaints if we buried the word completely. I will not say what blacks (or anyone) 'should' or 'should not' say, but I will notice what they do.
"That man is a head taller than me.

Same as motherfucker. As a term of endearment it is fine. If black people woke up tomorrow and decided to sport confederate flag stickers and tattoos to display what their ancestors have overcome I would be fine with that. The confederate flag means different things to different people. Same with the n word and the swastika. I don't see the big deal and it's completely presumptuous to think that symbols and words can't be interpreted differently. Most of you are being dumb hippie pricks. It doesn't hurt anybody.

Spoken as only a white person could...

"Same as motherfucker."

Easy for you to say. Very, very easy for you to say.

Sorry, bros, it'll take more than the old sticks & stones gag to sort this out, & you're not helping by pretending to try.

Yeah, I understand this point and I think it's right, but I don't live by it. I'm not racist, I'm just a bit stupid perhaps? I'm sure if we looked to the origins of all words we'd be dropping a quarter of our language.

A kid i used to make beats for in the mid 90's would use this expression every 5th word "nigga". It didn't bother me at all. The times that i attempted to inject it into conversation with him was more a condemnation of my whiteness than me trying to actually fit in.
He was black by the way.

We always seemed to have a good laugh over it.

It's not my place to decide what language is appropriate for anyone but myself. I don't use any of those terms as i don't think it fits my vernacular. I guess i'm just one of those uppity niggas.
