Rageh Omaar embarks on a unique journey inside what he describes as one of the most misunderstood countries in the world, looking at the country through the eyes of people rarely heard - ordinary Iranians.

It took a year of wrangling to get permission to film inside Iran but the result is an amazing portrayal of an energetic and vibrant country that is completely different to the usual images seen in the media.

Will this documentary also include the fact that if you are homosexual in Iran you will get immediately executed?

I guess we should bomb them then!

I love Rageh Omar. He's my favourite BBC correspondent.

I once read a story about Rageh and his time in Iraq. He worked with many camera men, who'd arrive on temporary week long or month long contracts. Apparently, his favourite initiation game was to tie his new man's laces together whilst he was sleeping (they'd sleep fully dressed so if anything kicked off they could get going without delay), and then shout "BOMB!" as loudly as he could in his ear.

That wacky Rageh, always with the funnies!

He went to bed about a decade ago, or whenever he sold his soul to the bankers and the elites.

Not to defend it or anything, but the way you frame this makes it sound like the moment you think a homosexual though,t Ahmedinijad himself turns up and strangles you.

Serious human rights abuses still don't warrant military action, in my opinion. Surely diplomacy would work better?

But then, I don't think any military action this administration has carried out has been for the benefit of any civilian, either home or abroad.

Nah, the best way to stop human rights abuses is just to bomb the abusers and the abused. And then, if only the abusers die, you'll get a nice situation involving warlordism. And we all know that not human rights abuses happen in post-war, warlord-ruled countries.

Fucksnout,

Did I say bomb them? Anywhere in my above post does it mentions that, motherfucker? I merely commented on the noted human rights abuses alreadly documented in Iran, including the persecution and execution of homosexuals. Do I have to make it any clearer to you?

"clever-dick"

Fuck you.

Turn off the blinders. Executing you for your sexual orientation goes beyond "serious human rights abuses". I would equivocate that with murder. Also, I didn't say that in conjunction with hypothetically bombing Iran. I was merely commenting on certain facts and state of affairs. So please, no ad hominem arguments. I am mentioning something specific in Iran.
