thats pretty wild.

michael barrett makes his first great defensive play at the plate and he still ends up a loser.

good game though.

wow. he really didn't touch the plate! horrible call!

Can you imagine how much more exciting the game would've been if he was called out?

2 outs, scored tied up...

I won't pretend I'm a Rockies fan, having only just moved here six months ago, but this run has been incredible. Winning 14 out of 15 is amazing, but not as flukey as it might appear. They have a good team: tremendous, clutch offense; good defense. No one in the NL has great pitching; the Rockies will get enough to continue. They will beat the Phillies, then the Diamondbacks.

In the AL Cleveland will get into the middle of the Yankees bullpen and win that series. The Red Sox easily beat the Angels - I like the way the rotation sets up. Then Red Sox over Cleveland. A-and...

Red Sox over Rockies in six.

I didn't think it could be worse than Tony Dungy and Bill Polian at the Super Bowl, but I guess the Rockies could give them a run for the money.

"You look at things that have happened to us this year. You look at some of the moves we made and didn't make. You look at some of the games we're winning. Those aren't just a coincidence. God has definitely had a hand in this."

"I don't want to offend anyone, but I think character-wise we're stronger than anyone in baseball. Christians, and what they've endured, are some of the strongest people in baseball. I believe God sends signs, and we're seeing those." Assumedly, Shawn Green (Jew), Ichiro Suzuki (Shinto) or any of the godless players from Cuba don't have the "character" Monfort is looking for.

It makes up for the blown homer call. What a great game, regardless. San Diego sure missed Cameron in center. I felt bad for Brady Clark. He had a bitch of a time on a couple of liners to the wall.

I'm thinking it's gonna be either Philly or Colorado over the Yankees in 6.

Tribe.

I'm getting 6/1 on my $20 that they go all the way. So that's the team I'm interested in.

I took them because they have 2 aces at the top of their rotation, a good enough bullpen, and a good lineup. The playoff structure now is a crap shoot that favors underdogs, but I figure the safest bet is to usually take the team with the most dominating 1-2.

I suppose it was God's Hand that touched home plate, then? Matt Holliday had divine "electricity"?
