Not crap.

Any man prepared to don a parachute, strap rockets to a light dirtbike and attempt to scream across the G. Canyon - to boldly go where no man has been dumb enough to go before - is one helluva fellow.

Amazing:

To land in the river amongst a Gordian knot of his own parachute cord - half drown - and live to be a jerk just one more time: A GOD!

He did good work.

Not crap. He's a living breathing spectacle. Such a stupid asshole in real life, though. I've read "Evel Incarnate" and seen most of the movies about him. He once beat a man with his fucking cane for saying something disparaging about him. Everything that comes out of his mouth is ridiculous and 100% bullshit. He used to do a shot and drink an Olympia before he jumped. So not crap.

My friend's dad used to flat track race with him in Montana. He'll tell you the story of how Evel or "Bob" Knievel came over one night and borrowed $50 bucks from his dad. He wanted to crash at his house but my friend's dad made him sleep in the backyard.

Oh, and the movie about him starring George Hamilton is sweet. He's all smug and tan and shit.

Fuck this guy with a fist. Any racist fuck that beats his wife and kids deserves to die of hepatitis C. Fuck him in half. A shitty motorcycle racer and fucking clown.

I had the bicycle, the stunt cycle, and the van. Dad pitched it all after the Sheldon Saltman book came out. Thank you, Dad.

Fuck you, Evel Knievel.

Okay, maybe I've been living under a rock, but I did not know this about the man. Uh, now I do... holy shit! I was looking around and apparently you're talking about the book "Evel Knievel on Tour" -- the guy who co-wrote it, being his former publicist, got beat up with a baseball bat by Evel because Evel didn't like people knowing the truth about him. That book goes for a lot of money these days it seems:

Well, there it is. My fond childhood memory destroyed. I guess it's better to know the truth.
