So I’ve had a lot of really shit things happen to me this year- a lot of them in fairly quick succession. Probably worst year on record for Mr. Alpha. Like Paulie Walnuts says- “You can take 2007 and give it back to the fucking Indians” (minus the racism of course). Anyway, this girl from my primary school got in contact with me just now on facebook. She was really sharp for a child- top reading/maths set, always had her hand up, always had the right answer. A high flyer, or as much as you can be at that age. What’s she up to now? I figured she’d be straight enough still but gone to a good uni, have a well-paid city job.

Nuh uh.

She had a kid at 15/16 and now works in the office of a pest control company. She plans to move ‘out of London’ which means greenbelt suburbia hell. Whatever, maybe she’s happy and this is her dream and I’m sure she loves the kid very much, but today was the first time for months and months that I thought to myself- “You know what, kid? It could be a lot fucking worse.”
Credo!

Go out there and tell the guy to stop calling you "bro."

Let's totally kiss because I love you.

The "Bro" wasn't what I thought. I saw the person who said it and he pronounced it as a pun on my name. B-Ro. Instead of J Lo. But just as fucking awful.

I am now crushless. Except for you.

Trying out a baritone guitarist tonight for a prospective new lineup. I'm way out of practice, and she hasn't heard of a single favorite band I listed off...she is an experienced studio engineer, though.

If that doesn't scare her off, my drummer's BO is bound to. Gotta try, though...haven't had anything like a functional band for years.

goddammit that shit bums me out.

favorite albums of mine have been ruined.

so far: velvet underground and nico, funhouse, lust for life, mothership connection.

i'm sure there's more i've blocked out.

the companies are gonna license a song by every artist in the world eventually.

except for maybe merzbow and throbbing gristle.

nope. they could use "united" to sell rubbers.

now that is depressing.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.
