Yeah that's what I'm playing. It's makes a pretty good jazz box. It's does country/alt-country and at times it's an indie feedback machine.

Yes I agree. The singer kind of ruined it. And he had us practice the shit out of that tune. I tried to talk him into doing more of an alt-country version but he really wanted to try to cop Bing Crosby's vibe and, well.... he's no Bing.

The strings were a little pitchy also. I learned during that production that it's better to use 6 or 12 string players then 3. Trio's (unless playing alone) almost always sound pitchy with a band. The more players the more the slight intonation problems sound like chorusing. Unfortunately 9 more strings costs about 7k. But people who are serious about the string thing (like when bjork did it) usually will have 8-12 player sections.

Ah well live and learn.

Yeah I bet he does, bet he knows it like the back of his hand

Thanks for removing the subtlety of my joke.

I am doing monitors at logan square auditorium for this 12 band all-ages pop punk new-screamo garbage festival. At 11 seconds, you will see me in the background, off-stage, giving a thumbs up to my pal Eric who is working front of house. I think I was giving the thumbs up in response to a text he just sent me saying something along the lines of, 'my this band is quite douchey' or something like that.
