At this point, I own somewhere in the neighborhood of about 2,000 amps. None of them are VC30's though, oddly enough. Had two... traded one for my Carvin hybrid 2x12" combo amp, and then my best friend decided he wanted to buy and keep the one I had loaned him. So I'm VC30-less for a while now. But I have a couple Traynors in that wattage range, so I'm alright.

They look sexy, but that price seems too much for a Laney unless they've really pushed the boat out on parts. I quite like the LC series because they are fairly Marshall-ish in the preamp sections (ie. close copies).

I think just about any of us gear-nerds could post an audio sample that nobody would ever guess. I have some amps/cabinets/guitars that are so obscure that it would be impossible to figure out what they are.

Well, to tell you the truth, if I didn't know what I was playing, I doubt I'd be able to tell. There are just too many variables for this to be taken seriously. That was partly the point of my post. The other point was to make all you suckers listen to me wank. Suckers!
