Man, I remember the hate that was tossed at that record when it came out. I liked it a lot, but it was maybe my third favorite. Over time it's moved up the ladder and I think it might just be the best Pavement record.
You got a lot for your money with it as well.

I still can't think of my favorite record of all time. Top ten is hard enough.

I'm pretty sure that as long as people make albums, tastes and sensibilities are going to change, and so are most people's personal favorites.

Sure, we'll all hang on tight to a few, but somebody will come along and do something that simply cannot be denied, even and especially if the musical landscape- especially the punk/hardcore/indie/underground one- is cluttered with every variety of dispensable tripe.

Having to choose- it hurts one's head.

Rapeman Two Nuns and a Pack Mule. Great lineup, great songs, great sequencing, no boring parts. I never get tired of it.
