Man, this is a no brainer for me. Drunk driving kills a ridiculous number of folks and maims as many.

I want to be clear here. You did the right thing, obviously. Calling the police was the right thing to do, and having priors doesn't suddenly made it a bad thing.

Sorry if I was harsh, Ubercat. The topic hits close to home for me, as well I'm sure for others. I'm just a head in a jar with a soup straw because of drunk drivers, you see.

ringo, fuck those assholes. you did the right thing. I'm sure everyone has driven drunk, largely because it is tolerated. There are too many innocent people killed by drunk drivers.

He said he knew the guy, was his friend. This information is usually shared/known by friends. This poll needs a "I should mind my own damn business" option. The best way to get a drunk out of a car - offer them another drink at the bar.

You did the right thing. My father was killed by a drunk driver when I was 9. It's been almost 25 years and there's not a day that goes by that I don't wish someone had stopped her.

I drove drunk sometimes when I was younger and I wish, in hindsight, that someone had stopped me. I'm lucky that I didn't ruin my life or someone else's with my selfishness.

Imagine if these men would have killed someone. Dealing with Johnny Law is nothing compared to the pain and suffering they could have caused. I called the police on a car that was obviously driving like they were drunk last week. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

Normally I would say fuck those guys if they want to kill themselves but what if they got in a head on collision with someone else on the way home? I too have called 911 on drunk drivers before. I've also driven drunk and felt very lucky and stupid the next day.
