Act: Listening to the same song over and over

I feel retarded since I often repeat the same song after having just listened it. Sometimes up to 4 or 5 times. It is kind of inevitable if I love the song.

I've seen a lot of people do this, and it is annoying as hell to be a bystander in that situation, especially if you hate the song. It feels really gay if someone does it on a car; it implies some kind of complicity. However, I feel that doing this alone (or wearing headphones) feels like taking a hit of cocaine. So, NC for me.

when I first got the ground rule double comp I listened to the copper song about 200 times in a row.

Once while tripping I kept rewinding one little 2 second snippet of a Tortoise song over and over and over and rolling on the ground cracking up all night long, like 5 straight hours, got locked into it. I have since listened to it sober and it's just a little keyboard squeak, no idea at all why I found it so absolutely hilarious that night.

I definitely do this. The way I think about it is that it's like I'm listening to a 20-minute version of a 5 or 6-minute song I really like. You just don't want it to end.

I remember listening to the Pop Group's "We Are Time" like five times in a row, on multiple occasions. Just a couple of nights ago I listened to the Rolling Stones' "Sway" like four times. Shit's tight.

Last year, I had an apartment neighbor who would constantly play some horrible "smooth R&B hip-hop" monstrosity like twenty-five times in a row, and I was ready to move at that point. Thankfully, he left before I felt like I had to.
