I love this thing too. I saw somewhere on the Interwebs that he made one where it's a two HotCake in one pedal. I wish he'd have done that before I bought mine. That would be perfect for me.

I actually built one of those today, I thought it was broken at first until I started fiddling around inside of it. I changed the pots to 250k (from the 50k they suggest) and changed the wires on the lugs of the fuzz pot. The fuzz is a bit more tunable now where as originally it was just ON and that was about it.

178home brewed dual triode gain pedal with legit B+ voltage. Unlike some of the the EH's I've tried out or the Tubeworks "real" tube pedals I used for years, this one sucks no tone whatsoever from bass.
ben- if you catch this, I'd still like to see a preamp schematic if you got one?
