Whoa. Weird thing for someone to email you about.

Yikes. That's some scary, manipulative shit right there. Steve, let me be the 97th or so person to say: Sounds like you did the right thing. Chin up. Keep fighting the good fight.

hey steve,

you must have broken up with your girl with an awful lot of class & respect.
you are evidently a very loveable guy.
now get out there & get loved by someone you too can write all that shit about!

Yup. I actually wanted to see her simply to tell her, if you have something to say after a fight (which happened before the actual break-up, and prompted said posting) get it off your chest now and then shut up about it.

It's not a generation gap, it is a common sense gap. That being said, me posting about my pathetic life on this board is a form of making your life public, but by the same time, it is a bit different because there is a certain dynamic to a discussion forum comprised of basically regular posters who to some extent don't hesitate to confide in each as "friends" or "confidants" despite location or whatever. So yeah, before anyone says it.

My achewood shirt came in the mail today, and some stickers. Sweet.

I have hit on burun in a western-style shirt. There is photographic evidence, even. J, you must have an aura of cool-girl. Shit, you DO have an aura of cool-girl. It makes all of these, erm, "events" make sense. You KNOW who I'm talking about. Sheeeeit. Like we need to play bocce to talk about it AGAIN. Yet again. I can't get enough of that guy.

Thanks, kids. I'm going to do AOK, it's just a weird place to be in. These fugin rock stars hired me because I guess they wanted to. However, I still have big issues about research/power, especially being the whitest-white person ever and interviewing marginalized populations. I just hope that I can bring the whatsamigzit and exude the caring/charisma that I need to for people who don't know me from Adam to believe in me enough to tell me their dark secrets.

It's a thing. It's definitely a thing. I'm so WASPy that we came over on the mufugin Mayflower. Shit.

Also, I'm taking the place of a super-rad person. I really really liked her a lot - if she wore western shirts, she would have been tackled.

I have to say this is not an easy task, but I also know you have the cojones to pull it off. Just be yer sassy self.
