Thanks - I've owned and cursed Alfas for the last 20 years (33, 75, 147, 156 and this GTV) and in fact I have owned this car for 12 years. But it's been sitting neglected for 4 years so I think it's time to make some decisions and see what is salvageable. And I do have a replacement steering wheel in beautiful shape, but it's from the mid 80s when the wood steering wheels were cleverly made lacquered plastic ...

Parts bin tape echo based on Nicholas Boscorelli's awesome Echo-Matic project. I added a tilt EQ and speed control for the tape deck (the built-in pitch control is disabled while in record mode). Someday I will build a pretty eurorack module with voltage controlled everything, but until then, I'm very happy with this ugly little guy.

GTV update #1: a can of fuel, some carb cleaner, a battery, an hour and a half, got it started. Drove a couple of blocks to put it in my driveway. Felt good to hear the engine kick over, I can tell you. Gearbox looking less terrifying than I thought - apparently the driveshaft yoke nut is loose, not a broken part as I thought. Also discovered my mate has about four parts Alfettas and GTVs, so things are looking up somewhat.

Here's a demo of a software widget I made. It makes a break beat that has a consistent internal logic but is not predictable using the logic of a string rewriting automaton. I came out of retirement for a few minutes and did one last PM1000 rack job with parts that I had in my stash. I think the last one of these I did was in 2013.So, anybody want to buy a PM1000 rack?

Not 100% DIY, but my father's day present was a pedal building workshop last weekend and successfully built a BYOC Leeds Fuzz (Superfuzz clone.) This gave me the confidence to start the Weber Champ kit that's been collecting dust for a few months now, the board is now populated and hope to finish wiring and assembly later this week.
