Italian Rock Band: CCCP

Please tell me more about the Italian rock band CCCP of the mid-to-late 1980s and early 1990s.

I have only found this CCCP website and this other CCCP website.

I also found this description of CCCP:

[In the 1980s,] Italian hardcore bands turned toward a mixture of vibrant tension, dark/noir atmospheres and political commentary. CCCP left behind the stereotypes of punk-rock, and achieved a genre-defying convergence of hardcore, militant rock, ethnic folk, industrial music and chamber music while delivering a bleak vision of eternal angst. "Affinità Divergenze" (1985) excelled in the eerie contrast between a harsh but spare instrumental background and Giovanni Ferretti's delirious cut-up texts and Brecht-ian vocals, while "Epica Etica Etnica Pathos" (1990) was a stylistic tour de force.

I would like to learn more about this band.

I need your help. Thanks.

hi,
CCCP were the most influential italian underground band of the 80's alongside Litfiba and Diaframma.
their music is reminiscent of early Killing Joke, punk and new-wave and
the lyrical imagery in their songs is chock full of communist references
mixed with a very poetic view of the world.

they came from Emilia Romagna (the district where the city of Bologna is), the most "red" region of Italy and their background is fully represented in their songs.

personally i don't like their music, but almost everything they have made is worth a listen.
their most famous album is probably "Affinità e divergenze tra il compagno
Togliatti e noi".
their most famous songs are "Emilia Paranoica" and "Spara Yuri".

be sure to check out also Offlaga Disco Pax, a current Italian band in a similar vein.
very interesting (especially if you speak Italian). you can find their stuff on E-Mule.
