Not a huge Soundgarden fan, but I was in the car with the kids today and Rusty Cage came on the radio. It sounded really great, and surprisingly contemporary, which is funny, because I remember Soundgarden sounding a little dated to me when they were current. Perhaps they were ahead of their time, or what is current is really backwards. Probably a little of both.

I have a daughter in high school marching band, and I end up attending all of the football games to watch the band. The football team somehow has “Rusty Cage” in their pre-game warm-up music. It certainly helps pass the time until the band marches on the field.

Great tune.
