Another very heavy week. Propane is in. Stove hinge was broken upon delivery. Whole thing going back. New one Tuesday. A bit of water in the crawlspace, nothing crazy. HVAC came out and called electrician while architect and Jonas (builder) were talking. Literally 5 fucking companies / thing-do'ers chatting at once. In between hooking up well, and getting heat, everything in well pump froze the level meter in downward position. Heater is on it now, already kicked back on. Should be no issues now. Redoing new soil test + final staking for house + cabin Sunday. Hood for range installation to follow. Friends from MKE visited and found the perfect stick to funnel beer into one's mouth. Soil test #3 + wood delivery in the same hour, on a Sunday. Wood delivery bro is literally the Lebowski esque "dude" and knows everyone, ribbed the HVAC peeps about a part they had on order. Got 2 full cords of wood, but this delivery was less than half of one. Christ, this wood crib is going to fit like 10 full cords of wood. Madness. Had no idea septic drain fields couldn't be driven over, so doing an insulated line with a pump going under my driveway and up a hill so it'll never be fucked with. Next code check is the final one. Almost there.

Edit - someone in the Facebook group threw a "thoughts and prayers" that the soil test went okay - it did! Good to fuckin' go.

You’ve come a long way, baby. Last looks before plumbing and minor interior work get finished. Porch needs some work. Final code check to move in could be as early as Thursday of next week. Getting some serious feelios. LFG.
I love wood but that is some headache-inducing patterning going on there. RIP to your eyeballs
I'm sure it's not for everyone, but for a creative test run, I love it! That said, furnishings and some interior design will go a long way to help break it up. Incoming! The larger house will play with color more and have drywall.

I just got back from MKE. Nice to see Nonagon and Body Futures and catch up with a few of yas!

Also, IT IS OFFICIAL!!!!

A mostly-final interior / exterior update soon before a week of sleep and we begin the gamut of much bigger fish.

Seriously, that place looks like it kicks ass.
Thanks, yo! For a 500 square foot place that was 75% "done" when it came, the final stretch totally exhausted me. Perhaps it was delayed mental taxation finally hitting? Damn, tho, I am *TIRED*. Warming up tho, builders not coming back for a week, and only to finish a few outside details. A couple sleeps, a few campfires. and I should be right as rain.

What a time.
