I've seen a few motorcyclists on here and thought I would get your opinions on this bike. I just purchased one today and will pick it up Monday. It is one of the best looking bikes I've seen in a long time. It was between an Yamaha R6 and this. I just liked the way this sounded compared to the R6. Almost got an Aprillia Tuomo, but theres nowhere near me to service it. Them Italians can make a quality motorbike. I will say I don't like dealing with Harley Davidson dealerships. They are crap.

There's a bike out there for everyone. Personally, I like Cafe Racers and single cylinder 'thumpers'. The Buell bikes are quite eye catching and they DO sound great. From a design aspect, they're pushing the envelope and creating some very DIFFERENT motorcycles, though I've read somewhere that the engines are their weak link. I've never owned one, so you're welcome to prove me wrong with this. Gotta love the belt drive though... Enjoy your shiny new bike!!!

This is very close to what I'm riding now, excluding the polished aluminum tank and sides. It's an SR400 Yamaha.

Very nice thought!
Very expensive thought! It would be a shame to use one as a commuter bike in the city, and I can't imagine it being as easy to manuever around town as the Buell. The Buell looks like it'd do the trick. I still think I'd opt for a good used Speed Triple, though.

Vintage is nice but hows the handling? I rode the Xb a bit today after I picked it up at the dealership. This bike handles better than anything I've ever riden.
The R6 had all the power I could have ever needed for the street, but I don't think it handled near as well as the Buell. I hardly need to do anything to corner it. Just kind of lean and it follows me. I am real pleased so far.

If I ever go vintage it will be a norton commando 750. For looks alone.

as far as the triumphs go, i was thinking of the bikes manufactured in the last few years. i have a friend with a '02 speed triple he picked up used for just a couple grand and he loves it.
the buell looks really good! i haven't looked at the buell line in awhile and they all look pretty ballsy. i especially like what's been done with the exhaust. i wouldn't feel bad about spending the dough on it at all, as it sounds like it's fun as hell to ride so far. sounds like a blast, actually.
as for me,i'm stuck in vintage land on a 74 commando that handles wonderfully until further notice...

have fun!

I said crap, but WF is like 10. The concept of the bike is fantastic, great innovations. All they've got to do is get rid of the total shite engine, spend some time and money sorting the ergos and suspension, and maybe it'll compete with a GSXR 600. Of course, you can tell from my avatar that I'm a bit partial...
If it wasn't for landlords, there would have been no Karl Marx.
