A *very* large animal? Possibly one with opposable thumbs?
Reminds me of that Onion headline: "Dolphins Evolve Opposable Thumbs", "Oh shit" says humanity

I associate Bigfoot with mountains. There aren't many mountains around here in central Missouri (down south in the Ozarks you've got more), maybe Bigfoot has migrated his way to here? :0
"Whatever happened to that album?"

If I ever have a first date again, unlikely with my being with the same woman for like 5 years now, I will offer to pay. The logic is, I will probably be wearing what I wore to work or whatever that day, whereas she will presumably have spent time getting ready and wearing some special date-oriented attire that she spent money on. Yes, even with rough and tumble rock and roll ladies. It seems fair to me.

But that's weird too. So if you get a haircut before the date, do you put that on the tab?

How deep does this iceberg metaphor go? We are probably only seeing a small fraction of the total number of iceberg metaphors.
Until someone can come up with a popularly understood idea where you only see part of something much larger. My life is reasonably metaphor rich, but I struggle to offer one. Will report back with iceberg replacement ASAP.
