A glizzy should be bean-free and bereft of jalapeños. I don't make the rules.

You're right. I'm just not a fan of peppers, heat, spiciness, etc. I should amend it to all manner of the devil's fruit. I'm cowardly in this respect.

I have to admit to being a little iffy on the pinto beans, though. Ultimately, it’s not chili or ketchup, and it’s still in the original spirit of the Depression Dog, with pinto beans being a local, cheap ingredient from northern Mexico.

I had no idea of these details of your palate. For some reason, I am surprised. But I guess we haven't sat down to too many meals together over our 15 plus years of online friendship. I'm always a little surprised when someone doesn't like spicy foods. I suppose it's because I like them probably an abnormal amount.

Nay I say! I never understood the pleasure of searing my digestive tract while commencing to yummin'. Once I celebrated a friend's bday at an Ethiopian restaurant and nearly sobbed from the pain. Only miniscule dabs of Cholula for this guy. Please remember this when we dine on chili, bbq, and other Texan delicacies. I'll cry.

I will eat the shittiest chili on a dog, because I'm a Detroit coney slut. Like the worst lips and anus dog with terrible, acidic, vaguely chemically, Sysco shit from a gallon-sized institutional-grade can. IDGAF. Raw white onions and a little bit of Dollar Tree mustard, yeah, shove that motherfucker in my face.

I mean you can't drive 5 minutes without ramming your car into a coney restaurant around here (locals call them coney islands), and they're all the same. People like to claim certain ones are better, but I've been to enough to know that there's nothing special about any of them. They're all getting their shit from whatever place is cheapest. And they're all the best thing that you've put in your mouth that day.

If I'm at home, I'll sometimes splurge on a Koegel because my great grandma used to buy those exclusively and that thick skin is a rite of passage. I lost baby teeth on that skin.
