Boss OD-3 - fuckin GREAT. Very full sounding. Stacks great with other gain pedals too.
Which Tusq model you getting? I am also getting fed up with the factory nut. Let me know how it goes. Fun guitar though. Still love mine.

I ordered a PQ-5042-00. It arrived and is too low, so I superglued a bit of business card to the bottom of it and now it’s a perfect height. Were I to do it again I’d just order a bone nut and sand/file it to fit.

Gotcha. Bummer it is too low. I don’t have the tools to shape a nut.

Didn’t get the Rascal bass in yet as waited for a coworker to join my order, but separately bought the Squier 40th anniversary jazz bass as GC dropped their prices and Fender is out of them so they’re likely gone for good after this. The quality on it is mental for $499 original and at $299 it’s criminal - good, bound neck, good fretwork, pickups sound great? The only downside I can find is the thick glossy squier finish on the neck which is easily remedied with some sanding, and the edge of the gold pickguard is razor sharp to the point I’m surprised they would let this go for fear of lawsuits. I’m going to take mine off and stone chamfer the edge.
Fantastic value
